About

Created by Unite for Unite members to contact fellow Unite members, this site has a new members only section with the facility to do that directly through the phone bank. Plus you can find information about some of the key battleground seats at the next General Election. It is in those seats, where typically the average Unite membership exceeds the Labour majority, that union members will play a crucial role in determining the future of our country.

Unite political director Charlie Whelan explains just how important it is that Unite members engage with fellow Unite members and use the new site. “We know from the work done by our USW colleagues in the Obama campaign in America that it is union members talking to union members that delivers change and progress,” he said. “I’d urge all Unite members to visit Unite4Labour, register for the member only section and talk to your colleagues about the threat to jobs, skills, schools, hospitals and local services that the Tory spending cuts will mean.”

You can register for the member only sections by having your Unite membership number and post code to hand. Full access is restricted to Unite members who are Labour supporters or members of the Labour Party.

If you have problems accessing any part of the member only sections, in particular the phone bank, have comments or suggestions on the site or want to let us know your views on any current political topic, please do use the Contact us feature.

Many thanks for your support and good campaigning.

We know from working with our union colleagues in America that union members talking to union members works in politics. That’s why we’ve created Unite4Labour.org so Unite members can contact fellow Unite members. To access the member-only parts of the site you’ll need to click on the register box and have your union membership number and post code to hand.
